Supporting National Inclusion Week

National Inclusion Week, founded by Inclusive Employers, is a week dedicated to the importance of inclusion and inclusive workplaces. It allows companies, such as WiC, to stand together and encourage businesses to Take Action Make Impact.

Take Action Make Impact is a powerful message and one which WiC firmly stands behind. This year is our 15th anniversary and we are very proud to have made an impact by helping over 1,100 women find roles in Construction and, along with our Corporate Members, take action to help change the narrative and address the gender imbalance in the industry.

Research continues to show how the tight labour market is across the UK which makes it difficult for contractors to attract talent. It is therefore vital that we collaborate to attract a wider range of people into the industry by encouraging inclusive cultures that allow everyone to feel welcomed, respected and valued.

We are proud of the industry’s achievements to date but there is still more to do and WiC will continue to support our Corporate Members, and the industry as a whole, to showcase itself as being an amazing and inclusive career opportunity for women.

We are WiC, and we believe in #TakeActionMakeImpact to Change the Face of Construction.
